I navigate between the border of two worlds, the worlds of visual arts and performing arts. Trained as a cellist as well as in the history of art, interdisciplinarity allows me to navigate these worlds. As an opera dramaturg and as graphic designer and image dramaturg, I have been able to observe and reflect on the synergy as well as the disagreements between artistic languages and forms. My first experience was in the opera world, mainly in Berlin (Staatsoper), Amsterdam (De Nederlandse Opera) and Paris (Opéra national de Paris). But opera is not the only context whereby different arts are combined. Today I continue to reflect on sounds, movements and images with my own company that allows me to explore other forms of artistic collaboration as well as allowing me to work with smaller institutions.

See the references page for a larger list of institutions and artists with whom I have worked.
